Meet Our Team

Chew Nan Ny

Founder of Gleamy

As the founder of our therapy center, my belief is simple yet profound: care for the mind is as vital as food for the body. We can't thrive if our basic needs or mental well-being are ignored. This center comes from a deep understanding that healing starts within. We tackle problems at their roots in the subconscious for true change.

My mission is to provide a sanctuary for inner healing, leading to overall well-being. Every effort here is dedicated to nurturing inner peace, lighting up all life aspects. It's not just treatment; it's transforming lives from the inside out.

Central to this is my guiding principle: 'Think positive, act positive, and grow positive.' This belief in positivity shapes how I treat myself and others, driving our journey towards lasting positivity and growth.

Lau Ung Mui

Registered Counsellor (KB;PA)

Greetings. I am a licensed and registered counsellor with the Malaysian Counselling Board. My approach is adaptable, and I can utilise Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory Reality Therapy (CTRT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), tailored to address your specific needs and concerns.

I always envision myself as a table lamp, illuminating softly and remaining unobtrusive when someone desires to ponder in the shadows of introspection. At the same time, I will brighten the area and provide my undivided attention, establishing a sanctuary where people can freely express their emotions—whether it is sorrow, sadness, or melancholy—without feeling pressured to move on hastily.

While some paths may not lead us to our desired destinations, it is crucial to have a supportive companion by our side. Together, we can harness our strengths, journeying at a natural pace, and ultimately greet the dawn of a new day with renewed hope and resilience.

Remember, it is okay not to be okay.
